Eeek!!! So exciting!! You’ll be in Sicily all summer?? You barely need anything. But yes you will be flippin hot. Buy a fan with the right plug when you get here.
I can't advise you on beach wear since I haven't been swimming since 1987, but black is a good colour. All your worries are completely understandable, and yes it is going to take a long time to get sorted but it is going to be wonderful. First things first: take a bialetti and a saucepan to heat milk. Nothing is achievable without coffee. Keeping cool will be a challenge. Can't help you much there as it is rarely an issue in Shropshire, where most of us have a permanent blue tinge.
This adventure is going to be WONDERFUL and you must send regular updates. (Please). 😊
Oh the coffee. Absolutely. I will bring my 3 cup Bialetti and enjoy coffee before I get out our of bed for the day. I am also bringing my chef's knife and paring knife. These are the only two knives you ever really need in the kitchen. My mini speaker, obviously. I have trudged my Australian made curly hair products (there are 6) back and forth so many times, so I may as well keep doing that. That's 5kg right there. I'm not going to take as much clothing this time, and shoes. It's ridiculous. I want to be prepared for everything. I've taken more than 40kg each time, and lumped Jeff with another 40kg, much of which is my stuff. I just get FOMO for clothes when I don't have with me what I want to wear. Same with shoes. I know I have to change. Also, if the current owner leaves the 80s wedding dress I found in the armoire, then I could wear that.
If it was me I'd forget the hair prods. I gave up the few fancy ones I used years ago and went with the curl. Now it gets shampoo and if it's lucky, a bit of conditioner. OK, I look like a haystack but nobody sees me.
If you need all that clothing, take it. I haven't got a handle on precisely where you will be living so I can't comment on that. All I would say is, if you won't use it and have no emotional attachment to it, make it a bit easier on yourself and leave it behind. It's hard, I know: you don't want to get there and find you need something you left behind. Also if you know you will want to wear it I think that's a good enough reason to take it. The wedding dress is a great backup.

I have to take the hair products, Jules. I have hair pride. I got it from dad. We have good hair.
Essential then. Travel size?
Suuuure. My travel size are 250ml because the full size is 1 litre...
Thank you. And okay; I'll try to be better at updates this time.
